Printer Reviews- HP Photosmart 8000 Printer is a lucrative market because a large company could order hundreds or even thousands of units at once. The printer needs to deliver on cost and manageability while still having business-class print quality. Fortunately, the Pro 8000 enterprise is largely a task. It has a modest cost per page for text and graphic-based documents. Unlike most consumer inkjet printers, it has a generous paper input capacity, including the ability to load 20 envelopes at the same time. It is delivered with a duplex system and prints moderately fast compared to other inkjet printers. The text quality is excellent, although not quite up to laser printer standards. If your office needs a solid single-function inkjet printer for business documents, this is an excellent, affordable option.

The HP Photosmart 8000 Printer has a rounded, non-nonsense look that should fit comfortably into a corporate environment. It is not particularly compact for a letter size printer. In fact, it's pretty wide for a model with a standard-sized cart. With the duplex unit attached to the back and the paper output tray extended forward for 8.5 x11-inch paper, this printer is 7.1 inches high, 19.4 inches wide and 23.3 inches deep. There are no precautions for built-in Wi-Fi, although there is an Ethernet port, in addition to a USB 2.0 port. The Ethernet port should give you some flexibility when placing the printer from the employee's desk.

Despite the obvious plastic exterior and total weight easily (only 17.2 pounds), the materials and construction feel durable enough to be up to a moderate amount of abuse. The only exception was the cover of the paper output tray, which did not fit exactly to the output tray, as we would have liked. We sometimes had to wriggle with him to snatch it safely into place. It was no big deal anymore a little annoyance.

As is often the case with inexpensive business printers, the control panel is scaled to the essentials. Similar to what is found on a laser printer more often than a typical inkjet, the monochrome 2-line LCD is complemented by eight control buttons. You can use the buttons to navigate the LCD menu, turn the printer on and off, access the onboard Help system, or cancel or resume a print job. Three LED lights indicate when the device is turned on, the attention is required, or the printer is waiting to be resumed. With the menu system you can configure the internal settings for things like paper and energy saving. You can also use the menus to initiate different maintenance modes. When the printer is idle, the LCD displays a low-resolution display of the ink levels for the four ink cartridges.
